Music, my childhood, Science Fiction

“11.22.63”

112263
I have been watching this since the second week on Hulu.
I am blown away.
So far, there has not been a single off-note in the entire series.

In it a man travels back to 1960 to prevent the Kennedy Assassination.  James Franco is outstanding–as is the rest of the cast. Based on a Stephen King novel–who also executive produces along with JJ Abrams–King’s writing, always great, is here at the height(seemingly) of his powers. This is literature quality television, the kind of art that makes you feel fortunate to be living to see it.

Here are the opening credits, which are also off-the-charts great; even better, the series itself is just as good.  I cannot get the theme music out of my head, and that’s just fine with me.

  1. Here is an interview with James Franco and Sarah Gadon about the series.
